Hosted by the CSG Justice Center with funding support from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance
Date: Wednesday, February 1

Time: 2–3:30 pm ET

In this webinar, officials from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and The Council of State Governments Justice Center explain the FY2017 Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP) solicitation and its application process.

JMHCP seeks to increase public safety by facilitating collaboration among the criminal justice, mental health, and substance use treatment systems to increase access to mental health and other treatment services for people with mental illnesses or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Specifically, this program aims to promote early identification and front-end diversion of people with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders; support justice, mental health, and community partnerships; increase evidence-based practices and treatment responses to people with behavioral health disorders in the justice system; and expand the collection of health and justice data to accurately respond to people in the justice system with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
