Below, please find the final information about the veteran mentor training in Cleveland that I referenced in an email last week. If you are able to attend, I would encourage you to do so. I’ve heard fantastic news about this training, and the cost is minimal – your travel and any lodging. Until we know how many potential mentors plan to attend, the Franklin County Municipal Court cannot commit to paying your travel and lodging, but we may reconsider when we see how many of our mentors attend.
Please feel free to share the V2V handbook and application – refer your friends to serve as V2V mentors!

Subject: Veteran Mentor Boot Camp – June 1st and June 2nd
The Cleveland Municipal Court Veterans Treatment Specialized Docket and the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Veterans Treatment Court are proud to announce that we are sponsoring a Veteran Mentor Boot Camp to be held onMonday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 2nd at the Westin Hotel Cleveland Downtown. This is the first time that this boot camp has been offered in the State of Ohio.
The training will be provided at NO COST to the participants and it will be conducted by presenters from Justice For Vets and the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP). Also, continental breakfast and lunch will be provided both days. This is a much more cost effective means to have your veteran mentors take the training that is offered yearly at Vet Court Con.
You can register for the training on the Cleveland Municipal Court website. There is also a link to the Westin Cleveland to book rooms if you are traveling from out of the local area, or if you just prefer to stay and not drive back and forth.
Come and join us for this unique training opportunity, and please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.
