Making a Difference
(OLHO volunteer attorneys across the state are making a difference in the lives of low income veterans.  This column recognizes and thanks attorneys who have helped.)

Attorney: Andrew Schuman, Bowling Green

A veteran and his family lived in rental property for over 10 years. Although he was current on his rent, the landlord gave him an eviction notice (not filed in court) saying that the veteran’s son, who provides medical care to the veteran, was not on the lease.  The landlord had been given notice that the son, caregiver, would be in the premises.   OLHO volunteer attorney Andrew Schuman took the case. With his help, an eviction was avoided and the lease was modified so the veteran could stay and be assisted by his son.

Small legal matter, huge impact on the life of one of our veteran heroes.

A very large thank-you salute to you, Andrew Schuman
